She was born in 2009 and she landed her first role in show business, playing Gianna when Barney and her Friends. Thus she became one of the kids who were the only human-like purple dinosaur ever created. Selena made an appearance in numerous episodes from seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 - 2003. Fun fact: Selena is not the only singer who worked in Barney and his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato was also part of the team that starred in the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for other films and shows after the end of the show Barney and his Friends. The auditions were not successful. There was a small role as a character in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003. She also had another as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire.
